Geostorage / Acid Gas Injection

Gas Liquids is experienced in geostorage projects including:

  • Acid gas Injection (AGI)
  • Salt Caverns and Related Developments
  • Natural Gas Storage

As the recognized world-leader in AGI facilities, GLE has carried out over 40 operational CO2 / H2S sequestration projects since our first AGI project in 1995. GLE has been involved in the design, development, evolution and planning of dozens of acid gas injection systems ranging from pure CO2 to over 95% H2S. With over 20 years of experience in AGI projects, GLE has developed knowledge at the forefront of industry with respect to acid gas phase behavior, hydrate and water content management, control systems development, AGI compression technology, and maximized AGI system flexibility and safety.

GLE, in conjunction with Sphere Technology Connection, sponsors the Acid Gas Injection Symposium. Our specialists have published numerous AGI books, papers, and have also developed the software necessary for the practical implementation of AGI facilities and pipelines. “AQUAlibrium” is software developed at GLE, which is considered by many in industry to be the best available software for acid gas and water equilibrium calculations. GLE is pleased to present AGI courses worldwide, and will often travel to remote locations to assist in AGI design, troubleshooting, safety, control systems and reliability management.
